It can be used as a bath or foot soak. I have used it for a foot scrub. Using a scent that is desired by you ensures satisfaction in the product. You can mix scents or even use your favorite perfume. I just tend to stay away from the alcohol based perfumes because they have the tendency to cause headaches. They make the perfect, frugal, crafty gift that doesn't look cheap. You can buy anything with an airtight to use as a vessel. Shop brand new or at your local thrift store. I would prefer the thrift store due to the fact that you can find a variety of ideas to store your mixture. Make sure that you wash and dry whatever you choose to store it in. I have been told that it makes an excellent potpourri, also! It would make an excellent craft idea. So, give it a try and let me know how it worked for you.

The Meaning Behind My Tattoo

The large lower curve symbolizes the waking state (jagrat): in this state the consciousness is turned outwards through the senses. The larger size signifies that this is the most common state of human
consciousness.

The upper curve denotes the unconscious state or deep sleep (sushupti): this
is where the sleeper desires nothing.

The middle curve (lies between deep
sleep and the waking state) signifies the dream state (swapna): in this state an individual's consciousness is turned inwards and the dreaming self will manifest a clearer view of the world through closed eyes.

These are the three states of an individual's consciousness and represent the entire physical phenomenon.

The dot signifies the fourth state of
consciousness (turiya): in this state the consciousness does not look outwards or inwards. It signifies the coming to rest of all things within relative existence This blissful state is the ultimate aim of all
spiritual activity. This Absolute state illuminates the other three states.

Love will make loving loveable but loving love can make love less loveable.

If you understood what I was trying to get you to understand; then, understanding would be understood.

Understand?

If you can't get what I'm trying to get you to get; then you will never get it.

Got it?

We Must Do Better

"WE MUST DO BETTER"!

Somewhere in the world, someone just said this very statement. In some context or another. It might have even been you. I believe it to be true. Too true. It won't be an easy task; you know? It is understood that it will take some work. Yet, many refuse to acknowledge that the work required will be needed on self. How can we require that someone listen; but deny a listening ear? How can we demand help; then, turn a deaf ear when our help is desired? How can we trully love; if we don't fully understand the concept? How can we expect respect; but we refuse to give it? We tend to outsource our character flaws onto others as emotional grievences. More often than not, when the issues are honestly assessed there is a realization that the problem does not originate with said party. Our problems are exactly that: "our" problems. Whether you want to accept it or not. Whenever I have negative feelings about someone, I tend to ask myself," what is it about them, that I don't like about myself?" If we could just be humble and honest with ourselves; I think the world could become a better place.

I am a firm believer in that the energy that you put out unto the universe will be returned to you. It is one of my many mantras and has been proven to me time and time again. Be honest with yourself; you've seen it, too.

WHO?

Who?

I...AM...A...QUEEN...

I deserve so much.

What road do I take to achieve?

Do I manipulate it like Anne Bolyne?

Do I take it like Boudicca?

Do I romance it like Cleopatra?

Do I finesse it like Hachesphut?

Do I stay hidden like the countless African Queens before me?

Do I vanish into the ether as the numerous female warrior chiefs of ancestry?

Tell me...

Music: The Same Old Love

The Same Old Love

by SLR

The love for me was already shown.

That is what made falling in love so easy.

A piece of my heart was whisked off to a place.

A place my heart will forever belong.

They say that music soothes the savage beast.

Why must you taunt my heart so?

Blatantly; by calling it out of its name?

It deserves so much more respect.

Do you even know its journey?

Can you recognize its path within my eyes? My soul?

My love patterns may be primitive and savage but I can honestly say that we are kindred spirits.

Our rhythms are in sync; but can be oh so off.

A conundrum we are.

Making interesting love.

Soul-wrenching climaxes fill me.

My ears are the orifice.

Staying wet.

Keep pleasing me.

Harder.

Softer.

Stimulate me.

Your methodic symphony aids my gyrations.

Pulsating.

I am your slave; do with me as you will.

You have me.

Your essence spills within me.

Double penetration.

The best head; I meant mind...body...soul connection.

Give me your speaker.

We can make it public or private.

Which ever way you deliver.

I want it.

No Love?

I am utterly annoyed by the marketing neglect of the WNBA. Compared to their male counterparts in the NBA, these women definitely are not being paid what they deserve. I've had this conversation with many males since it was brought to my attention. Most males like to place blame on the lack of ticket sales. I do understand that selling tickets will fill seats (as well as pockets) but the blame does not only lie in that. What about the endorsement opportunities? I believe that WNBA players have the same selling potential as the NBA players. The difference being that endorsement deals seem to be needed to supplement their income. The average salary for a veteran in the WNBA at $50,000/yr compared to the NBA average in the tens of millions minus the endorsements. Are they not aware of the marketing potential?

I truly believe that the women of the WNBA should have more endorsement deals than the males of the NBA. When it comes to females, there are far more marketing capabilities. We all know that women are the key force within a household that companies market to. It is understood by corporations that single and married women alike hold the purchasing power. So, why not apply the same concept to a sport that is female oriented?

Introductions & Salutations

"Hey, young world; the world is yours. Hey, young world...." Yea, I kicked it off with a Slick Rick joint. I thought it fit perfectly. Music is the soundtrack to life. It may sound corny but it's true. That's just how my brain operates. Oh, and what a brilliantly beautiful, awe inspiring machine it is! Take a peek. My mind is full of interestingly philosophical thoughts, concepts, ideas, ideals, philosophies, and the like. I want to share. So, I have decided to construct my own proverbial soap box to shout them from. Here ye, here ye. Is my mic on? My mic sounds nice.; check one. My mic sounds nice; check two. My voice is soft but it will be heard. Trust me.

Now, let's get to the point. I love to learn. It's what I strive to do but I tend to teach by accident. My daily intention is to learn at least one new thing that is educational and/or beneficial. I try to insure that it is relevant to me and my environment. I view situations from the inside out. I have always been an introspective person. This requires a great deal of humbling and honesty. As well, as anger management and interpersonal psychology. I'm keeping it real. I can laugh at myself. I'll beat you to the punch. You have to have the ability to recognize your own flaws and shortcomings instead of pointing out those of others. Believe me when I tell you that I did not develop this ability over night. This task is easier said than done because the ego tends to rear its ugly head. Which seems to always be the case. Is it not? I am a work in progress.

Now, let me digress, I may seem tedious but I assure you that I am the total opposite. I have to admit that I am multidimensional. I love to laugh as much as I love to learn. Some of my posts will be serious and thought provoking. Others may seem silly and superficial. Some may seem as if they are excerpts from my memoirs or essays. Others may be just a few sentences or a captioned photo. Some may come from news feeds. While others may be a phone video of me just being me. With no apologies.

DISCLAIMER: All thoughts will be delivered to you raw and uncut. No filter. Welcome to my mind. Strap on your seatbelt. I hope you enjoy the ride.
